mblg blog tour weekend blitz

This weekend we will visit 4 terrific tired supergirls sites in their reviews of
My Bangs Look Good And Other Lies I Tell Myself
Stop #7: The Good Life
Dawn, who writes over at The Good Life, talks daily about the Big Good Life that God has given her. I love the imagery in this line, "I don't have a major mountain to climb today, just lots and lots of little hills. And through Christ I will have the strength. That is my gift today. I'm leaning hard on Him. In the little things too." I often feel that way too!
Stop #8: Thoughtful Meanderings
Katy, over at Thoughtful Meanderings, sounds like my twin. We both have been married to pastors 13 years and have 3 kids and love to write. Besides that, she ate cookies while reading the book - this is my kind of girl! I also loved what she wrote about an exchange that took place when her kids fighting, "My son looked his older sister in the eye and said, "If you're going to hit me, hit me in a GOD-ly way." PK's through and through!
Stop #9: claymom
Mary, from claymom, made me laugh out loud at the list she wrote when she was realizing her children's brains are still developing...some of the tip offs were when they: "Roll ink all over their tongue" or "Pee in their pants AGAIN" or "Take their pants off in the sandbox" or "Use the rest of the roll of toilet paper and clog the toilet.....while I am in the shower." I just had the thought,"I wonder if the boys all have their pants on right now?" while reading her post.
Stop #10: Simplifying Me
Amy, who blogs at Simplifying Me, has some fantastic things to say. I loved her post on her 7th grade English teacher, Ms. Shaffer, who scared the pants off of her. I had a similar teacher in high school, Ms. Pedder, who I lived in fear and trembling of. Her writing brought back some strong memories. That's some good writing, Amy, I think those red pen strokes are in the past.! :)

Thanks to Dawn, Katy, Mary and Amy, for taking time to participate in the My Bangs Look Good and Other Lies I Tell Myself Blog Tour!

Hi!
I found your blog through "Chaos Diaries." Any soul sistah of Ashley is a soul sistah of mine! I'm also a pastor's wife, but only 10 years, and only 2 kids (ooh, so close!). Glad I found you, I can't wait to read more, and get a copy of the book. Sounds like my kind of reading! I love reading from other PW's. It's a point of view unlike any other.
