When Scott and first got married, I decided to quit teaching preschool and find a no-brainer kind of job so I could just leave the job at the workplace, so to speak.
I got a job as the special orders salesperson at Restoration Hardware.
I loved everything in that store.
I pretty much wanted to spend every dime I made in the store.
And I began bringing my work home again...in the form of furnishings.
Even now the kitchen table I am typing on is a pine farm table
that we got during my Resto days.
It was my love of fine furniture that kept me with the company for 3 years.
Eventually, I got a full time job working at a dot com -
the money was better and the urge to spend my paycheck at work
subsided since I wasn't really enthralled with online website services.
But let me just say that if I was working at Restoration Hardware today
I would, once again, have no money.
Because I just found the Restoration Hardware Baby and Child website.
I didn't even know this existed. Clearly, God has protecting my marriage.
Because I want this.
and this
and this
and this
and this
Oh, the loveliness!
These little nuggets of happiness would look fantastic in my house.
Or maybe they'll just spruce up my blog since I am pretty sure that is where they will stay since I no longer have a 40% discount.
But every now and then a girl can dream, can't she?
