mr. magorium has some good thoughts

Tomorrow the boys and I are going to see Surfs Up at the $1 movies.
Each Wednesday during summer our movie theater plays a kids movie at 10 in the morning and we are so going to every movie.
We meet my sister-in-law, Cheri and the cousins, Robert, Katherine and Brian.
So that makes it even more fun.
They are the on time cousins and we are the late cousins
because we Aughtmons tend not to plan well. But they always save us a seat.
They are cool like that.
We go and try not to eat the popcorn.
Because it is 10 in the morning. A little early to clog the arteries.
But usually, we give in to the call of butter and overly yellow fluffy popped corn.
Because it is the movies, people. And when your movie only costs $1,
you feel justified in paying $5 for a bucket of pop corn.
Two weeks ago, we went and saw Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium.
We brought the visiting Clements cousins with us. I know. I know.
We should not be allowed to have this much fun having two sets of cousins.
But we did.
And I had never seen Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium.
And it was fantastic. Plus, the boys gave it bonus points since Padme,
Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia's mom (otherwise known as Natalie Portman)
played one of the leads. The force was obviously with us.
But the line that both Erica (my sister) and I were struck by in the movie,
is the line that Mr. Magorium (Dustin Hoffman) tells Natalie when she realizes
he is dying and thinks she cannot go on without him. He says,
"Your life is an occasion. Rise to it."
It strikes a chord, that line.
I think tomorrow I will try and rise a bit more.

Did Mr. Magorium have anything to say about whether coffee is allowed to help one rise?

This is a movie I've missed but it sounds really good. Is it on hulu.com yet I wonder?
Your comment on my blog cracked me up! I can relate 'cause in Uganda we had some t.p. that was more like crepe paper, sorta shiny and it stretched. Didn't serve the purpose very well, but they also used it for decorating at parties and for that it was great -- and it came in crepe paper colors, too: pink, green, blue and yellow.
