Let's just say that I'm no Barbara Walters.
The best part of the entire interview may have been the highly professional start to the interview,an automated woman's voice stating "the call is now being recorded" and then the laughter that ensued as I tried to be a serious interviewer instead
of just calling Rene to talk about our favorite tv shows.
But I did learn a few things about Rene that I had never known like that she
lived in Denver once and that she is newly addicted to fancy creamer.
In the interview she talks about the Boo series, her next project, Listen, and pretty much we make ourselves laugh.
Rene has generously offered to give away 3 of her books on the blog to go with our autumnal theme...Boo, Boo Who, and Boo Hiss, all comedies that revolve around the main character Wolfe Boone (Boo), a horror novelist who comes to Jesus and Skary, Indiana, the quirky town where he lives.
For a chance at the giveaway please list your favorite Halloween candy in the comments. Winner will be picked at random and announced Friday, October 17th.
Note to readers:
I will not except Bit O' Honey as a valid entry...honey is not candy.
For a chance to win her fourth Boo novel, Boo Humbug, a Christmas novella, sign up for the Tired Supergirl Chronicles (located in the right sidebar of the blog) and enter the contest.
And for your listening pleasure, here's my fun interview with Rene Gutteridge.
Enjoy!

Chocolate! (Anything chocolate!)
:)
Candy corn! I can eat entire bags by myself!
Reese's pieces or Reese's pb cups! And thanks for interviewing Rene! I love her books!
Hands down- Candy corn Pumpkins! I eat those the entire month of October. By the end of the month the site of candy corn makes me sick! I take a vow not to eat candy corn until the following year. It's become a tradition/sick addiction :)
Is there anyway to dl the mp3?
Those little snickers bites. They feel so guiltless. (too bad it's not true!)
The internet is too stinkin' slow to watch videos or listen to recordings today so I'll come back tomorrow for that.
But I'd like another chance to win a free book...
Those tiny little Hershey bars are my favorite Halloween candy. We never had trick-or-treaters come to the house we lived in the last 11 years but I'd buy a bag of those anyway...just in case! lol
I have to say bi-o-honey. Most of it isn't honey.
Don't enter me. I've read all those and they are fun. I just wanted to vote for candy. LOL!
I do love candy corn, but I buy my own (it's got to Brachs). If I'm stealing from kid's trick-or-treat stash, I'm grabbin' those Butterfingers!
I meant to say my own kid's trick-or-treat stash. I would never steal from someone else's kid.
I like the flavored tootsie rolls. It seems I only see them at Halloween time.
Definitely candy corn, if it's Halloween-specific.
If not, Milky Way mini candy bars. :)
It has to be chocolate. I usually end up sneaking it from my kids. Or I just go out and buy a bag for myself!
Candy corn hands down. I'm allergic to corn and corn syrup which means I can't really eat it but if I have one piece it's just so good!
Peanut m and m's and I do not share!!!!!
I agree with so many others...candy corn pumpkins...they don't stand a chance in my house.
100 Grand or Nestle Crunch (especially, but not limited to, the kind with the carmel in it!!)
Sugar Babies and M&M's...especially at the same time!
almond joy, kit kats, twix...anything chocolate!
Mini Snickers!
If i am REALLY lucky, I can find the mini "whatchamacallits", but otherwise i tend to steal the kiddos krackle minis. LOL!
My favorite Halloween candy are Tootsie Rolls!
Candy Corn and BiteSize Butterfingers!
Mini 'Mounds' bars!! MMMMM!! Seems 'healthy' right?? Dark chocolate and coconut :) Blessings!
