this fine life

Do you not love the title of this book? I do.
This Fine Life is a novel by Eva Marie Everson and she captured my attention from
chapter one.
Firstly, because I love historical fiction and this book takes place in the late 50's and early 60's.
I had visions of Jackie O and juke boxes all the way through.
The story follows the heroine, Mariette, a polished young debutante, whom upon her return from a young ladies boarding school, is swept off her feet into a love story and life that she never expected.
One that involves some pitter-pattering of the heart, as she leaves all she has ever known to follow her heart and the sacrifice that real marriage requires.
I don't want to give away all the good stuff but it is romantic and heart wrenching
and a story of redemption that comes to light in the backwoods of Georgia.
So if you need the perfect summer read, with a touch of whimsy and a hint of heartache, this book is for.
Pack in your beach bag or in your park tote. You won't regret it.

Available at retailers that sell Revell books. NOTE: I received a complimentary copy of this book from Baker Publishing Group. This has neither positively nor negatively biased my review.
